As the first units of NCT are getting ready to debut, we are getting to know more and more about this exciting new group from SM Entertainment.
Some of these are rumors and some of these are confirmed.
First off, rumor has it that there will be a point based system surrounding the members of the entire group. This hasn’t been explained yet, but perhaps there will be a popularity polling to decide which members will rotate in and out.
The concept of this group will be “open-minded”, which can mean that they won’t have one set style, but will try to cover a lot of genres of music instead.
The first units of NCT, “NCT U”, will kick start the entire project on April 9th and April 10th, and from there on out, the whole thing will evolve to another level.
There will be two NCT U units promoting at the same time on April 9th and 10th.
More units will debut as NCT grows, with units debuting in South America, China, Japan, South East Asia, and more.
So far, we know that Jaehyun, Mark, and Ten will be debuting in NCT U. More members will be revealed by SM Entertainment in the following days leading up to NCT U’s debut.
Rumor has it that NCT U will start off with a concept that is similar to f(x)’s, so that’s very promising already.
Chances are, that members of some of the units will merge (most likely temporarily) into one huge group for big collaboration projects in the future, which we are very excited for.
That’s all we know for now, but we shall keep you informed!
