EXO-L has just surpassed 900,000 sign-ups!
And it’s only been a few days, AND the servers have been crashing left and right, so a bunch of people still haven’t been able to register.
We can’t wait to see what happens when SM stabilizes the servers and everyone gets a chance to register.
But this achievement for EXO hasn’t been well-received by everyone.
F(X) fans are upset that SM Entertainment gave EXO an official fanclub before they were able to get one.
And TVXQ fans are upset at the media play SM Entertainment is doing for EXO’s achievements.
Articles are saying that EXO has overtaken TVXQ by having more fans in their official fanclub, but there’s a big difference between the two bases.
First, TVXQ’s official fanclub for Cassies requires a membership fee, unlike EXO-L which is free for everyone.
And the 800,000 fans that have signed up to be an official Cassie are all from South Korea, while the 900,000 EXO-L fans are from all over the world.
But despite EXO-L’s membership being free and registration being open internationally, getting over 900,000 registrations in such a short amount of time is amazing.
We’re only 3 days in, so we can only imagine how many more sign-ups EXO gets within the week, month, and year.
We look forward to seeing how big EXO-L grows.
